[Huang] Mao, the grandson of the Messenger Huang Qian-heng, was especially appointed as a student in the National University, in recognition of Qian-heng's service. Previously, Qian-heng received orders to go and enfeoff the king of the country of Melaka. However, his ship overturned at sea. On account of his death, it was recorded that his son be appointed in recognition of his father's service. However, at this time, his son had already passed the examinations and thus, in accordance with the precedents, his grandson was especially appointed as a student.
