The Minister of Works memorialized: "When the yi persons come to offer tribute, in their rewards, each bolt of plain silk is converted at the rate of three liang of silver. However, at present, the price of contracted purchases for the treasury has reached 4 liang 8 qian. This figure is thus not a true one and it should be corrected." An Imperial order was issued allowing that the silk be priced in accordance with the reward standards, and that this be recorded as a precedent.
