As the Heir Apparent had been formally designated, Chen Dun, director of the Bureau of Records within the Ministry of Personnel and Chen Jin, director of the Hu-guang Office within the Ministry of Justice were sent as chief envoys and Li Kuan, a director of the Messenger Office and Guo Zhong-nan, a Messenger, were sent as deputy envoys, to carry Imperial orders of proclamation for the instruction of the two countries of Korea and Annam. A set of clothing made of silk gauze (luo) interwoven with gold thread and 500 guan of paper money each were conferred upon Dun and the others.
