The chieftain Wei De-cheng of Lu Subprefecture in Annam killed He Dun and came to present [his corpse]. Previously, He Dun had entered China and attacked Shang-si and Ping-xiang, and burnt and plundered with great cruelty. This calamitous situation lasted for over 20 years. At this time, the grand coordinator had ordered Annam to kill him and to return all of the villages and dong which he had occupied.
