The Meng-mi Pacification Office in Yun-nan engaged in battle with the Mang troops, but was defeated. The Grand Coordinator Liu Shi-zeng advised of this. It was Imperially commanded that the grand defender and grand coordinator strictly supervise the various commanderies in coordinating as the circumstances required, in order to provide defence and eliminate the bandits.
