The Yun-nan Grand Coordinator Liu Shi-zeng memorialized: "The Mobile Corps Commander Liu Ting captured Yue Feng and his son alive. Without the spilling of troop's blood, Long-chuan has been captured. It was taken in a morning and the chief bandits were captured and bound. The prisoners should be presented so that Heaven's punishment can be demonstrated." The Ministry of War re-submitted the memorial, noting: "Yue Feng and his son were originally Chinese (華人). However, they dared to form a rebellious gang and the three pacification commissions and the six pacification superintendencies near and far were terrified and startled. Indeed the spirits were all angered. Under Imperial law they must be executed. They should indeed be sent to Your Majesty as prisoners. Further, the rebel Han Qian and others, a total of 15 persons who were captured previously, who are in prison and have not yet been executed, should also be forwarded and presented as prisoners." This was approved.
