27 Mar 1608
As the Annam chieftain Zheng Song had made secret plans and killed the Lu Subprefecture yi official Wei Da-li, and then presented his boxed head along with tribute to make up for that previously due, the achievements were assessed and rewarded. The Guang-dong/Guang-xi Supreme Commander Dai Yao was appointed as Junior Guardian of the Heir Apparent and the Guang-xi Grand Coordinator Yang Fang was promoted to censor-in-chief of the right. From the Minister of War down, inner and outer officials, civil and military officials, and commanders and clerks were also promoted and rewarded with silver and silks as appropriate.
