Wan-li: Year 46, Month 8, Day 2
20 Sep 1618
Previously, during the second month (Feb/Mar 1618), the Jiao-zhou bandits Weng Xing and Weng Xiao (Alt: Weng Wan) had, with their forces, attacked Si-le Garrison, Na-su Village and other places. Declaring that they wanted to recover the four dong, they seized men, women and livestock and withdrew. The Mobile Corps Commander Wang Xi had failed in his spying and reconnaissance duties and he had long covered up the matter without reporting it. The Supreme Commander Xu Hong-gang and the Regional Inspector Wang Ming-xuan memorialized on his crimes. The Emperor ordered that Xi be removed from his post and await investigation.
