The Cheng-shan Marquis Wang Tong, regional commander of Jiao-zhi, collected his military and civil personnel, officials and clerks and proceeded to the Xia-shao River. There he had an altar erected and made a pact (盟誓) with Li Li to withdraw the army. He then feasted Li and sent him biao-li of patterned fine silks interwoven with gold threads. Li also presented precious goods in gratitude.
