The Cheng-shan Marquis Wang Tong, regional commander of Jiao-zhi, had earlier made a pact (盟) with Li Li and allowed Li to memorialize with Chen Hao's memorial. On this day, without awaiting the Court's orders, Tong led his troops out of Jiao-zhi and returned to Guang-xi by the land route. The Eunuch Director Shan Shou, together with Chen Zhi and others, returned by water to Qin Subprefecture. The number of civil and military officials, commaders, troops, clerks and assignees of the three Jiao-zhi offices and their family members who returned was 86,640 persons. However, some other persons were detained by Li Li and were not sent back.
