Paper money, biao-li of silk gauzes, and suits of clothing made from ramie-silk were conferred upon the chieftain Tao-meng Mang Meng-fang, who had been sent by Si Ren-fa, the native-official superintendent of the Lu-chuan Pacification Superintendency and others; the interpreter Qiu Jing from the Ava-Burma Pacification Superintendency; Tao Wu, a member of the local ruling family from Jing-dong Prefecture; the chieftain Dao Pa from Nan Dian Subprefecture; Zuo Chang, a member of the local native-official ruling family from Meng-hua Subprefecture, all of Yun-nan; and the native-official prefect A Neng of the Wu-sa Military and Civilian Prefecture in Si-chuan. Further, the eunuch official Yun Xian and others were sent to take Imperial orders as well as velvet brocades, silk gauzes and biao-li of variegated silks to confer upon Si Ren-fa and Nang Bi, the native-official pacification officer of Lu-jiang Pacification Office, as appropriate.
