The eunuchs Hong Zai-sheng and Xu Liang were sent to take Imperial orders to Meng-lian as well as to Ba-bai/Da-dian, Mu-bang and other areas and to confer upon the native official Dao Huai-han and so on patterned fine silks interwoven with gold thread and variegated thin silks as appropriate. At this time, Dao Huai-han and so on had separately sent persons to come to Court and offer tribute of elephants, horses and local products. The rewards were sent in response.
