Xuan-de: Year 4, Month 6, Day 6
7 Jul 1429
Wu Wang and Chen Zhong, both originally assistant commissioners in the Yun-nan Regional Military Commission, were re-instated in their posts. Earlier, for involvement in offences, Wang and Zhong were arrested. At the time, the Qian-guo Duke Mu Sheng was proceeding on expedition to Jiao-zhi and he requested that they act as leaders of the troops in order to realize achievements. At this time, they returned. The Auxiliary Ministry of War memorialized that the two men should be re-instated in their posts and employed. The Emperor said: "The regional commander has said that these two men can be employed. Order that they be re-instated in their original posts."
