12 Nov 1433
In Yun-nan, the three police offices of Qu-shi, Gao Song-po and Ma-mian were established. Formerly the Wa Dian Chief's Office advised that Qu-shi, Gao Song-po and Ma Mian were situated high in the mountains and deep in the forests, that bandits often appeared in these areas and that the people were uneasy. Thus, it requested that police offices be established and that the interpreters Yang Zi, Yang Zhong and Fan Xing be appointed to these offices. The matter was sent to the three offices for investigation and at this time they memorialized that the establishment of the offices was appropriate. Thus, the three police offices were established and it was ordered that Zi and so on be appointed as police officers. Zi was appointed to Qiu-shi, Zhong was appointed to Gao Song-po and Xing was appointed to Ma-mian.
