Deng De and other tribute students who had been chosen from Bei River and other prefectures, subprefectures and counties in Jiao-zhi, arrived in the capital. It was ordered that they be sent to the Directorate of Education to begin studies and that presents in line with those given to the students from Yun-nan be conferred upon them.
