Gan Run-zu and others, a total of 11 persons who were graduates in examinations in Jiao-zhi, were appointed as vice prefects in Liang River and other prefectures. Imperial orders of support and encouragement were conferred upon them and in addition the Emperor personally composed a poem to confer upon them.
