Zheng-tong: Year 12, Month 9, Day 13
22 Oct 1447
The Ministry of Rites memorialized that the envoy Kun Pu-lun-zhi and others from the country of Siam had advised that when that country had offered tribute in the ninth year of the Zheng-tong reign (1444/45), the interpreter Nai Ai had lost property belonging to the king of their country and refused to return to their country. With his family members, he fled on the ship of Ma Yong-liang, envoy of the country of Java. At this time, [Nai Ai] had come again with the envoys from Java and was in Guang-dong. The Emperor ordered the three offices of Guang-dong to detain Ma Yong-liang and Nai Ai and investigate the truth, and that Nai Ai be handed over to Kun Pu-lun-zhi to take back.
