The achievements realized by commanders and troops in the expedition against Lu-chuan were rewarded with the conferral of silver and variegated silks: 1. Those who realized outstanding achievements: Twenty liang of silver and three biao-li of variegated silks were conferred upon the regional commissioners; Fifteen liang of silver and two biao-li of variegated silks were conferred upon the guard commanders; Ten liang of silver and two biao-li of variegated silks were conferred upon battalion commanders and guard judges; Ten liang of silver and one biao-li of variegated silk were conferred upon company commanders and battalion judges; Five liang of silver and two bolts of thin silk were conferred upon platoon commanders. 2. Those who realized great achievements: Each received half of the rewards noted above. 3. Those government troops who followed the expedition and transported grain, built boats and erected forts: Six liang of silver and one biao-li of variegated silk were conferred upon the regional commissioners; Four liang of silver and two bolts of thin silk were conferred upon guard commanders; Two liang of silver and one bolt of thin silk were conferred upon battalion and company commanders; One liang of silver and two bolts of cotton cloth were conferred upon platoon commanders and others. 4. Those who died in battle or died later of injuries caused through battle received half of the amounts noted above. A total of 34,501 persons were thus rewarded.
