Zheng-tong: Year 7, Month 4, Day 12
21 May 1442
The Minister of War Wang Ji, chief minister in the Court of Judicial Review and supreme commander of Yun-nan military affairs, and others, memorialized: "We sent Wan Cheng, the commander of Lin-an Guard in Yun-nan and others to capture the rebellious bandit Wei Lang-luo. They attacked and overcame his stockade and the bandits scattered. His wife and children and a few of his clan members were captured, but Lang-luo scurried into Annam. The king of Annam Li Lin sent troops who captured him. He was then sent in a caged cart to Cheng's camp, where he was executed. The remaining 4,000-plus gang members were all pacified and returned to their occupations.
