The chieftain Zhao Xian-kao and others who had been separately sent by Dao Ba-xian and other native-official pacification superintendents of the three pacification superintendencies of Che-li, Ba-bai/Da-dian and Laos, came to Court and offered tribute of elephants, horses, gold and silver utensils and other goods. Paper money, biao-li of variegated silks, suits of ramie-silk clothing and other goods were conferred upon them. It was also ordered that Zhao Xian-kao and the others take Imperial orders as well as biao-li of variegated silks to confer, on their return, upon the native officials and their wives.
