The Jiao-zhi rebellious bandit Fan Ruan and others had previously massed their forces and occupied Ju-le Ce in E-le County. On this day, the Commissioner Xu Yuan, who had been sent by the Feng-cheng Marquis Li Bin, regional commander of Jiao-zhi, led troops in capturing them. Ruan and the others were executed as a warning.
