Old Port is in the Southern Ocean near Java. Dao-ming was originally from Guang-dong. He took his family and fled to live in this place, where he remained for many years. Several thousand military personnel and civilians from Guang-dong and Fu-jian followed him there and pushed Dao-ming forward as their leader. The Military Commander Sun Xuan had previously been sent as an envoy to the various fan in the Southern Ocean and while there had come across Dao-ming's son Er-nu. He brought Er-nu back with him.
