An Imperial proclamation was issued pardoning all those remnant evil-doers in Jiao-zhi, so that they could return to their original occupations. Orders were also sent to the Jiao-zhi civilian and military officials requiring them to show great forgiveness and sympathy. It was noted that unless there were attacks, all non-urgent tasks were to be stopped.
