It was ordered that the native-official subprefectural magistrates Bi Xuan-cheng and Huang Yuan-yi and the assistant magistrate Cen De, who were all Jiao-zhi persons who had come to allegiance and who at this time resided in An-lu County, Hu-guang, were ordered to proceed to the Ministry of Personnel for selection and employment. Their chieftains were given two years of food grain, after which they were to plant their own grain and feed themselves. They were to be exempt from grain taxes.
