Imperial orders were sent to the Commissioner-in-chief of the Left Mu Ang, regional commander of Yun-nan, and others. The orders read: "I am in receipt of your memorial noting that Ava-Burma wishes to send people to hand over Si Ren-fa, that you wish for Mang-la-zha to be sent back to Yun-nan, and that, on the day Si Ren-fa arrives, Mang-la-zha will be instructed to return to his region, in order to pacify the distant people and have them move towards culture. All this is approved. However, the Ava-Burma people are guileful and cannot be easily trusted. In all military matters, you must deliberate on all options before acting, and make appropriate arrangements so as to achieve success. Ministers, you should be very cautious in this."
