The envoy Zhao Bu-zhang, and others, who had been sent by a member of the native-official ruling family of the Laos Pacification Superintendency in Yun-nan, came to Court and offered tribute of elephant tusks and local products. Clothing, variegated silks and other goods, as appropriate, were conferred upon them. Imperial orders, as well as patterned brocades and variegated silks were given to the envoys to confer, on their return, upon the native official and his wife.
