It was ordered that the Jiao-zhi native person Ruan Gong-ti be appointed as assistant commissioner. Gong-ti was the son of Ruan Ru-ou, the native official of the Zhen-yi Guard. Previously, Ru-ou had been promoted to assistant commissioner for his achievements in capturing the bandit leader Li Cang. He was commanded to return to Jiao-zhi to supervise the transport of grain but happened to drown. At this time, Gong-ti had come to Court and thus this order was issued.
