Imperial orders were sent to Cheng Da, commander of the Embroidered-Uniform Guard, saying: "The man bandits in Liu-xun and other areas of Guang-xi have not yet been pacified. I have sent orders to the Xin-cheng Marquis Zhang Fu, regional commander of Jiao-zhi, and others, requiring that when they are withdrawing the troops, they join with the Commissioner-in-chief Han Guan in a combined punitive expedition. I have also ordered the three military commissions of Guang-dong, Hu-guang and Gui-zhou to deploy 20,000 troops. It is planned that they will arrive in Guang-xi on the first day of the 10th month (31 Oct 1407). They will then be placed under your command and are to be advanced along separate routes.
