Yue Zhang, a director in the Ministry of Rites, and Zhang Ting-gang, a Messenger, were sent to the Western Depot Prison to await investigation of various matters whereby, when they went as envoys to Annam, they carried goods for trading and received many presents. The Ministry of Justice investigated and proposed that they be reduced to commoners. It was ordered that their headwear and belts be withdrawn.
