The government troops involved in soothing the yi in Yun-nan were promoted and rewarded. The Censor-in-Chief Cheng Zong, grand coordinator of Yun-nan, memorialized advice that Nang Han-nong had returned the villages, stockades and territory which she had occupied. It was thus ordered that the Eunuch Directors Tan Ping and Wang Ju receive a further 12 shi of rice a year. Cheng Zong was promoted to Vice Censor-in-Chief of the left and his salary was raised one grade. Two biao-li of variegated silks were conferred upon the Qian-guo Duke Mu Cong, while one biao-li was conferred upon the censor Wang Shan. The Usher Su Quan was promoted to Recorder in the Court of State Ceremonial. The other assistant regional military commissioners and so on, a total of 49 persons, including Zhou Zuo, were each rewarded with silver, cloth and silks as appropriate.
