Imperial orders were sent to Gu-lai, the king of the country of Champa, noting that he should soothe and instruct Ti-po-tai, require him to hand over the originally-conferred seal of the king of the country of Champa and advise him that his crime of having accepted a false enfeoffment by the country of Annam had been pardoned. It was also instructed that Ti-po-tai be appointed as a chieftain and that he be allowed to reside in that country.
