The Ministry of Rites memorialized: "The Supervising Secretary Wang Ru-lin and the other officials who took the proclamation to the country of Champa have returned. They have traded much ivory, ebony and other goods. Should these goods be conferred on each person or should all be placed in the government stores?" The Emperor ordered that the matter be handled in accordance with the precedents during the Xuan-de reign (1426-1435).
