It was ordered that the Jin-chi Pacification Command Commander Che Lin, the Yun-nan Left Guard Assistant Commander Lu Yue (Alt: Fang Jin), the Lan-cang Guard Assistant Commander Li Fu and the Liu-liang Guard Assistant Commander Fang Jin (Alt: Lu Yue) all take on posts of assistant commissioner. This order was issued in accordance with a request made by the Qian-guo Duke Mu Sheng. Sheng had also memorialized: "The government troops proceeding on expedition to punish Lu-chuan were withdrawn and stationed at Jin-chi. However, the grain supplies there were not regular. After deliberation, it was decided to temporarily send the troops back to their respective guards where they could temper and grind their weapons. In the eighth month (Sep/Oct 1439), they will return to Yun-nan for deployment. I am making plans for the transport and storage of official grain, so that there is sufficient for our use." The Emperor conferred Imperial orders approving this.
